These are some of the better programs I've written during 20 years of
working with computers. I've written many other little programs and
utilities for personal use, including a phone-book, a diary/planner,
an accounts ledger, a menu-system, a graphics-windowing system and a
web-browser. I have worked mainly in C and Java, but I've also used
assemblers (6502, Z80, 8051, 6809, 80x86), Visual-Basic and Pascal
(among many others).
At university I managed a 2:1 in Computing,
covering the design, construction and testing of software systems.
I worked with C, Java, JavaScript, Pascal, HTML, CGI, SQL, Z, UML
and Hope and used VMS, Unix, Linux and Windows systems. On completion
of my studies, I was employed as a Unix System Administrator at that
same University. After two years there, I moved to a similar post
at Goldsmiths University, part of the University of London.
I also play a bit of guitar and I have a rhubarb plant called Asterix.
